Directions to Studio

Curtis Photography Studio is easily reached from anywhere in the state. If you are unsure of these directions, please call the studio for more information.

 I-91 South from Hartford area

• Exit 15 (Durham - Yalesville). Left at the end of ramp onto Rte. 68.
• Stay on Rte 68 (you will go through a couple of stop lights) until you have to turn left or right at stop light.
• Turn left at light (still Rte 68) and proceed until you pass Tilcon Traprock plant and cross RR tracks.
• Turn left at next intersection Rte 157 (Reeds Gap Road).
• Stay on Rte 157 to the end of road (appx 2 miles) Lyman Orchards Apple Barrel and golf courses on right.
• Turn left at stop sign and go 9/10 of a mile to Rte 147 - I-91 left hand turn sign. Go left.
• Go 6/10 of a mile and Way Road will be on your right passing in front of an office complex and the Blackbird Tavern. Please use the second driveway to Executive Suites and park in the back lot. Enter through the doors that say “Welcome to Executive Offices”. Go past the reception desk and take the elevator on your left. Push the button for 1R. The door will open behind you. Exit and find us directly across - suite 126.

I-91 North from New Haven area

• Exit 15 (Durham-Yalesville) Right at end of ramp onto Rte 68 and follow the directions above.

I-84 Waterbury/Southington East onto 691

• 691 becomes Rte 66 as it comes into Middlefield/Middletown area.) 691 ends and narrows. You will come to a stoplight (Guida’s Drive In on your left) Stay in the right hand lane and take a right onto Rte 147 (Baileyville Road)
• Stay on Rte 147, pass Lake Beseck and as you come down a short hill you will see an office complex straight ahead of you (6 Way Road). Please use the second driveway to Executive Suites and park in the back lot. Enter through the doors that say “Welcome to Executive Offices”. Go past the reception desk and take the elevator on your left. Push the button for 1R. The door will open behind you. Exit and find us directly across - suite 126.

Rte 77/79 Clinton-Guilford-Madison

• Go through the Town of Durham to Rte 147 (left turn at the Valero Station)
• Stay on Rte 147 passing Lyman’s Apple Barrel and the New Apple 9 golf course. Appx 9/10 of a mile you will see a left hand turn to Rte 147 and I-91. Turn left. (Baileyville Road).
• Go appx 6/10 of a mile and you will see an office complex on your right (Blackbird Tavern). Please use the second driveway to Executive Suites and park in the back lot. Enter through the doors that say “Welcome to Executive Offices”. Go past the reception desk and take the elevator on your left. Push the button for 1R. The door will open behind you. Exit and find us directly across - suite 126.

Rte 17 North from Northford, Branford or New Haven

• Follow the directions above after coming into the Town of Durham

Rte 9 North or South - Saybrook/Cromwell

• Exit 11 Randolph Road. At the end of the ramp turn left. Stay on Randolph Road until the intersection of Rte 17. Turn left onto Rte 17.
• Go appx 4 mile to Durham. As you come down a long hill there will be a Valero Gas station on your right. Turn right at the light onto Rte 157. Stay on Rte 157 passing Lyman’s Apple Barrel and the New Apple 9 golf course. Go appx 9/10 of a mile you will see a left hand turn to Rte 147 and I-91. Turn left (Baileyville Road). Stay on Rte 147 for appx 1/2 mile until you see an office complex on your right. (Blackbird Tavern - 6 Way Road) 
•Please use the second driveway to Executive Suites and park in the back lot. Enter through the doors that say “Welcome to Executive Offices”. Go past the reception desk and take the elevator on your left. Push the button for 1R. The door will open behind you. Exit and find us directly across - suite 126.

Directions from Mercy High School - Back Roads short cut 

• Turn right out of parking lot and take your first left (Laurel Grove Road). 
• Go through the stop sign and turn right onto Rockfall Road (becomes Hubbard Street) Go all the way to the end. St Colemans Church on your right. 
• At the stop sign turn left and then a quick right onto Cider Mill Road. 
• Cross the train tracks and take a left at the stop sign onto Rte 157 (Main Street Middlefield). 
• At the next stop sign bear left and cross the train tracks again. You will pass a post office and a small strip mall. And at the stop sign go straight (Liberty Bank on your left). 
• Go 3/10 of a mile and you will see a sign for I-91 and Rte 147. Turn right. 
• Go 6/10 of a mile and you will come to an office complex on your right (Blackbird Tavern). 6 Way Road, Please use the second driveway to Executive Suites and park in the back lot. Enter through the doors that say “Welcome to Executive Offices”. Go past the reception desk and take the elevator on your left. Push the button for 1R. The door will open behind you. Exit and find us directly across - suite 126.
